Forestry Day. 9am – 4 pm. At the Historical Museum at Fort Missoula. Free admission to the events for all who bike, walk, or take the bus. U of Montana’s Woodsmen’s Team Competition with pro/am competitions, vendors, food, operating sawmill, tours of the fire lookout. Bob 728-3476.
Bearmouth to Helmville. 9am. 74-mile bike ride, starting on Frontage Road after turning left off I-90 Exit 138. Carpool from Eastgate at 8am. Ride the bucolic road along the Clark Fork River, climb through the canyon past Drummond, lunch at Copper Queen Saloon in Helmville. Missoulians on Bicycles. Wayne 721-6330.
Bike Walk the Peace Trail. 10am. Meet at Jeannette Rankin Peace Center, 519 S. Higgins. Bike/walk to Jeannette Rankin Park and on to the Missoula Community Peace Park. Betsy 543-3955.

Kids Activity: Art in Nature. 2-3pm. Create sculptures to remain in the landscape from natural materials in the gardens: leaves, sticks, flowers, stones. Best for ages 5+.
