Run Wild Missoula Breakfast Run. 8am. Runner’s Edge, 325 N. Higgins. Join other runners for a group run through Greenough Park followed by a free breakfast. Eva 544-3150.
Amble to Alberton. 9am. Meet at Wheat Montana, 3rd and Reserve. 70 mile bike ride through Big Flat to Frenchtown and Alberton. Picnic in Railroad Park with a great bakery across the street. Missoulians on Bicycles. Eleanor 241-5551.
Georgetown Lake Loop. 110-mile bike ride by Georgetown Lake. Start in Deer Lodge, spend the night in Phillipsburg, complete the loop through Drummond. $10 deposit to sign up. Missoulians on Bicycles. Sign up with Julie 549-2226.
Bike Walk Bus for Bargains at Secret Seconds. 10am – 6pm. Bike, walk, or bus to either Secret Seconds location and get 50% off one regularly-priced clothing item. Proceeds benefit battered women and children. Locations are 1136 W. Broadway, 920 Kensington. Sally 543-6691.
REI Comprehensive Bike Maintenance Class. 10:30am – 5:30pm. Work on your own bike with a certified Bike Technician leading the class. Tools and bike stands provided. Covers wheel truing; adjustments on hubs, brakes, drive train; inspection of bike frame and components; cleaning and lube. $80 members; $100 non-members. Missoula Aquatic Club Bike-a-Thon. 11:30am. Second annual bike-a-thon fundraiser to increase awareness for the swim club. Will ride mostly on trails in and around Missoula. Begin and end at the River Bowl along the Clark Fork River. Evad VanSpoore 546-3464.
Milltown State Park Preview. 1-3pm. Catch the ASUM Park N Ride bus at 1122 E. Broadway (in the lot with the wind turbine) at 1pm, or at the Sha-Ron Fishing Access at 1:15. Join FWP Park Manager Mike Kustudia for a sneak preview tour of the new Milltown State Park from the Bluff Overlook. Bus returns to Park N Ride at 3 pm. ASUM, FWP, Bonner Milltown History Center. The Moon Randolph Homestead Tour. 4 – 5:30 pm. Hike in bike in (or ride in) to the Moon Randolph Homestead for a tour and some work at the homestead in the North Hills. Donations accepted.
